Nicollette Sheridan won’t Return Desperate Housewives’ final Season

Nicollette Sheridan: Edie Britt won't return to Desperate Housewives

Nicollette Sheridan’s alter ego, Edie Britt, was killed off after being electrocuted in 2009, in the fifth season of Desperate Housewives. There were also many rumors that swirled around a controversial feud with creator Marc Cherry.

The actress went on to file a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the show creator last year, accusing him of slapping her when she expressed an opinion about a script he had written, and firing her when she complained to producers.

I had an amazing time playing that character. I loved her dearly, but they killed her! She’s dead.”-Nicollette Sheridan says.

During a Television Critics Association meeting in Beverly Hills, Mark Cherry admitted he was contemplating bringing Edie Britt back to life for the Desperate Housewives’ finale, although he had yet to come up with a way to make that happen.

“I don’t know how I would do that, but I have an idea for the last episode in which I want to pay homage to everyone who’s been on the show before. So, we’ll see what happens with that.”-he said.

Nicollette Sheridan insists she is not familiar with resurrecting her role in Desperate Housewives’ final season, and she has no intention of returning to Wisteria Lane.

“That’s news to me”-she said on U.S. TV show Today.
