Kelly Rowland Talks About Meeting Her Father & Babies With Marie Claire UK

Kelly Rowland Talks About Meeting Her Father & Babies With Marie Claire UK on their January 2012. The photoshoot was done by photographer David Oldham. Rowland looks fantastic on the cover and throughout the spread wearing very slick and gorgeous dresses. During the interview, Rowland talks about having kids, being a judge on the “X Factor” show, and a couple of other topics.

When the interviewer asked if Beyonce being pregnant has made her want kids for herself, Rowland replied, “No. I will babysit and change a diaper or two, and then give it back. I do want kids, but every time I think about a little person growing inside of me and getting bigger and bigger and then having to come out…. a watermelon coming out of something the size of a lemon is insane to me.”

The judges on “The X Factor” are known to be extremely controversial. Rowland expresses that she enjoys being on the judging panel for the show. Rowland tells the magazine, “What I like is that it’s very organic. What you see is what you get. Nothing is fake. We’ll agree, we’ll disagree and sometimes we have to agree to disagree.”

When Rowland was a young girl she had moved to Houston from Atlanta with her mother leaving her father behind. Rowland expresses what that was like, “I was just the kind of kid who could get on with anyone – I talked a lot. I still talk a lot. I remember I’d watch my mom do her job as a nanny and see her bosses with their kids and say, ‘OK, this is a nice life. I want that.’ Seeing how someone else was living put a drive in me.”

Rowland hasn’t seen her father in 22 years and was asked if she plans on ever seeing him now as an adult. She reveals, “I do plan on seeing him over the holidays. I’m nervous as hell. I don’t want to think about it. We’ll see what happens.”
