Elizabeth Olsen Interview On The “Today” Show

Keeping rather busy with promotional duties, Elizabeth Olsen Interview On The “Today” Show to talk about her new film “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” which she plays a character who was able to escape an abusive cult and returns back to her estranged family. She then begins suffering from delusions and paranoia. The film seems quite interesting. The title of the movie actual refers all to the same character that Elizabeth will be playing.

Elizabeth is the younger sister of her two older extremely famous twin sisters Mary Kate and Ashley. She isn’t trying to get famous off her two sisters. Instead she is working extremely hard to make a name for herself. Which she is doing a pretty good job so far. Elizabeth can be seen in many magazines featured on the front cover and even attended the Elle’s 2011 Women In Hollywood Tribute to which she won the Calvin Klein Collection star award.

Elizabeth spoke about how it was an honor to be able to play the leading role in her new film. She explains, “It was more exciting because I feel like you don’t get to cease those opportunities too much as a young new actress so I got very lucky that the director wanted an unknown actress for the part.”

During the interview Elizabeth was asked if her famous twin sisters have given her any advice for her new career. Elizabeth states, “Not really. I mean they just lead by example. Their umm they have really strong work ethics and have never stopped working their entire lives. So just knowing that it’s all about the work and following your passions.”

Elizabeth is still attending NYU and says that her new found fame hasn’t really hit her. She still attends classes and states that “not one person turns a head” and then she begins to giggle. She also states that her professors have been nice enough to give her extensions on assignments when she needs them due to work schedule.

“Martha Marcy May Marlene” will be released in theaters this Friday, October 21st. The film is a thriller and fantastic drama. Don’t miss out.
